The painful search for perfection

The recent passing of Hollywood actress Brittany Murphy has shone a bright light on the rather grim reality of the human drive to achieve absolute perfection. Though no conclusions have been formed on the Murphy death, and I would not like to speculate on this, it does have to be said that Murphy was a victim of this drive. A number of plastic surgery 'improvements' and what some would define as a food disorder (judging by recent pics that emerged shortly before her death), Murphy highlights the lengths that people are willing to go to, in order to reach their distorted goals.
